NATA COACHING CLASSES (Duration: 20hrs) NATA means National Aptitude Test in Architecture and it is for those who wants to join in the field of Architecture. This entrance test is the entry for them through which they can get admission into Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) colleges. NATA evaluates the candidates aptitude towards this particular subject i.e. Architecture and their aesthetic sensitivity (logical understanding, colors sense, 3D visualization etc.). The test also tests the critical thinking of the candidates that are related to the subject of Architecture and which they have acquired by their experience over a long period of time. The aesthetic sensitivity test is an online test and is of one hour duration and the drawing test is a paper based test and is of 2 hours duration. Aesthetic test is held after the candidates have appeared for the drawing tests. Scoring: Drawing Section: The candidates are scored based on their observation skills and imagination. In memory drawing, the perspective and sense of proportion of the candidates are evaluated. Candidates are not awarded scores if they have not drawn either of the 2 drawings in that section. Aesthetic Sensitivity Section: Candidates are given scores based on the performance on the given questions and on the total number of questions answered by them in the allotted time. SAMPLE QUESTION PAPERS (Total Marks 100) Time Allowed 2 Hours 10 Minutes 1 ) Imagine that your size has been reduced significantly and you are standing in a pencil box that has three pencils, one sharpener, and one compass, one small piece of paper, one eraser and one fountain pen. Draw what you would see standing inside the pencil box with the lid of the box open. (Marks 50) 2 ) Draw a visually appealing composition using the five given shapes and colour it using four colours. You can use any shape more than once. However each shape has to be used at least once. (Marks 25) 3 ) Make an interesting three dimensional stable composition using three bottles, two balls and one lampshade in the space provided. Also show the effect of light and shadow on the composition.
